test on ancient eypt

I thought that i did very well on my test today.  I feel 99 percent sure that all the questions I had atleast glanced at sometime between yesterday an right before the test, so I don't think i was unprepared, but 10 minutes may have helped.Or maybe if the class would stop talking about the color of the dress, some actual pre-test studying could be done.  I thought that the cyber day work helped us alot for the test. It encouraged us to explore our notes, pick out  question, find the answer, and fnd some incorrect answers that may look correct to the unstudied eye. While writing this blog, little Einstein  is blaring behind me (Thanks Stephen). I sit here anticipating my grade, but I know did great so really there is no question.

headache in egypt

Today in class, we paired up and played a game where we had to design a pyramid in egypt. we had to choose a good location, a good sangle, and a good crew, and good materials. The pyramid couldnt be too steep or to shallow or else it would collapse. If the pyramid was near the Nile, it would flood, so you had to put your pyramid on a plateau. The crew had to consist of roughly 3/4 farmers, 1/4 craftsmen, and a handful if officials.The pyramid was so tempormental, and how spoiled it was! I am not even that picky, and I am the type to complain if my soup is too hot! The project got on my nerves, I probably should have taken notes as I was doing it. That project was a torture, and for what? A "C"? Veronica and I should have just taken the 0 and just decided not to do it. Oh well, thank goodness we finished.

Today in class, we reviewed our notes taken on cyber day (tuesday). I got the chance to add two things to my notes that weren't there already.  We lerned about these 6 parts of the Nile River called cateracts. These cateracts are spots with really rough water. I also got to add an interesting fact about the The Great Sphinx of Giza. It is supposed to "protect" the pyramid behind it that contains the remains of a pharoah, thus the reason for it's "watching " pose. Also it is mising it's nose because it was shot off in the 1800s. It was a good class overall, and I got plenty out of it.

Today we did not meet in class, instead we all viewed a prezi. It was about Egypt which i found rather interesting. Egypt is in a very fortunate spot, right along the nile river. The river is very important to the egyptians, the way the tigris and the euphrates river were to the mesopotamians. Another oart of the prezu was on the Pyramids, such as the great sphinx of giza built 2555-2532 bc. Egypt had a "social pyramid"

The pharoahs were the political leader of the egyptian peole. There were two women pharoahs, Hatsheput, and Cleopatra VII. King Tut is famous because he was stolen from his tomb by English people in the 20th century, instead of people during that time. The goddesses and Gods controlled the lives of humans during that time.

Today in class, we went over the two tests we took. They were both really hard, so I was glad to see what the correct answers were. These correct answers would surely come in hamdy for exams. The quesions that I got wrong on the first test we took were really hard, so I probably would not get the correct answers even if i went back to look in my notes. I probably would have known the answers for the second test if I had watched the movie. Even the rest of the class did not score to well on that test, so maybe it wasn't just me, but that test would have been easier watching the movie.
