YOU HAVE 3 ESSAYS TO WRITE IN 45 MINUITES- GOOOOOO!


As soon as class started, I anxiuosly reviewed my notes really quick, picked up my pencil, and wrote as fast as I possibly could.  The first essay, I paced my self using the clock. The outline I wrote was running through my head, I was trying to be smart with this essay, strategically planning it so that I could get my point accross with as few words as possible. The first essay was all about using my head. Next came the second essay. I was trying to brave out the pain I was feeling in my right hand. I knew I was crunched for time, but I couldn't help but shake out my hand several times. This essay was all about keeping my form, and keep everything neat. The third essay was all about the will to finish it. By this time, all I wanted to do was scribble some things down and call it a day. I had to be thorough, and I couldn't let the fact that everyone else was finishing phase me. I had to be mentally strong and use every second available to me to my every advantage.

These essays definitely helped my speed in thinking of ideas. I did write a basic outline, but i still had to think of how to phrase different sentences, and be able to link these thoughts to other ideas staed in my essay earlier. it was definitely a challenge, but I am glad that I had this expeirience.

test and its review 11.27.15

Today, in class I did my test because i was not in class tuesday. I was feeling good about it. I got 7 wrong with a score of an 83. Not too bad. When i went back in the classroom, we went over he same test I was just taking.

Today I was absen from class due to a doctor's appointment.

class

Today, we did a brief review of everything we have learned in the Rome unit so far. I will work especially hard on this test because I want to know as much as possible in time for exams. I am hoping it won't be too hard because I want to bring my grade up

more presentations

Today was the final day of presentations. Their was a pretty cool presentation with a pot, another one about gladiators, and one with a roman trivia game. I was sorta hoping it would be an authentic roman game, that the romans would actually play. I was dissapointed that it was just a trivia game that involved only 3 members of the class.

absence

wasn't at school for another doctors appointments. Sorry  missed more presentations.  I am sure they were really good. I would have like to see them.

Roman Meal, Song about Rome, and power Point

Today in mr. Schick's class, we served our Roman Meal. I think that everyone for the most part enjoyed it. none of the food tasted bad,  it just tasted foreign. Everyone loved Megan's salad, and Veronica's pasta. There were some mixed feelings about Zaire's cheesecake cookies, but i enjoyed them. No one really like my Amygdala et Malum drink.  Someone said it smelled a lot like disinfecting wipes. I think it was just a little too exotic or a little too Roman. Unfortunately, the Grape Juice boxes that I brought in case people were allergic to nuts was a bigger hit.

Three guys did a parody of  Fancy by Iggy Izealea. It was really funny. It was also informative  with the pictures they added to the slideshow that accompanied the song. I could definitely tell that they put a lot of work and effort into their project.

Paj had a very informative power point. However, I think he should have done something a little more "hands on".

I think that the other groups learned alot from today. Maybe they will think to step it up, maybe try to top our projects. But you never know. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

BB KING

Today in class, we watched a video of BB King. it was some pretty snazzy music, and I really enjoyed it. The second half of class, we worked on our Rome projects. Our group made a power point to go along with the meal we will be presenting on tuesday. I am knd of nervous for it, and I really hope that it will be enough to get a good grade, and a unaminous "wow" from all of our classmates.

it's thurday

Today in class, we continued our powerpoint. We learned about how the government managed to keep upising from occurring, while giving the plebians rough living condition. It's amazing what bread and a circus can do.

POP QUIZ

This was the most stressful day of life. I would mutch rather not relive it.  Better start studying material on weekends, even if there is no test or quiz scheduled.

West Civ

Today in class, we continued watching the movie about tiberious. Towards the end of class, Mr. Schick asked us a question, "was Tiberious too devoted to the people to setp down, or was he just power hungry?' I thought bout it for a while, but I was tired, and there was a lot that went into aswering the question. I figured i would answer it here. Tiberious was devoted to the people, he didn't want his roman soldiers to be slaugtered in war. He destroyed his honor and Reputation to save the soldiers from the war that they had no chance of winning. However, at the end of his year long term, Tiberious decided to break the law and run again. This showed that he wasn't for the greater good of the people by breaking the law; designed to keep people safe (and for the most part, Happy).

friday

Today in class, we worked on our rome projects because we had a sub. It was nice little break from writing note all class, but i still missed the humore of our class discussions.

thursday

Today in class, we continued to write notes on the war. We also watched some videos that helped us visualizes what was going on during this war.

wednesday

Today in class, we continued our notes from yesterday. We mainly studies the Punic War. This war was fought between rome and Carthrage, consisting of three "miny" wars. Rome won all three of these wars.

Tuesday

Today in class, we continued the powerpoint started on Granparents' day. It was pretty interesting, and the lyrics to Mr. Schicks song were starting to make sense. I have a feeling that the test will be pretty soon, even thoough it hasn't been formally announce; So I think I better start studying.

Today in class, we got a lot done, or at least I did. i got a pretty good chunk of my math homework finished plus I got to write this blog.
